Licensing on development PCs

How do I get a free trial licence key?

  1. From the FlashBack SDK program group menus, select 'SDK Licensing'.

  2. On the window that is shown, click the 'Get Trial Licence Key' button.

  3. On the next window shown, enter your name, company name and email address, and click 'Request Key'.

A trial key will be emailed to the address you gave. It enables you to use the SDK for a limited period of time. It also enables you to produce executables that will run on end-user PCs, but these executables will also be time limited in their usage.

How do I use the trial licence key that was emailed to me?

  1. From the FlashBack SDK program group menus, select 'SDK Licensing'.

  2. On the window that is shown, click the 'Enter licence details' button.

  3. Enter the licence key exactly as it was supplied in the email from Blueberry and click OK.

Now you will be able to use the SDK for a trial period. This process need only be performed once.

What happens when the trial expires?

Class constructors will still run, but all method calls will fail.

How do I purchase a full licence?

Visit the online store at  http://www.flashbackrecorder.com/store and proceed through the purchase process. Major credit cards and PayPal are accepted and purchase by purchase order is available on request.

Once the purchase process is completed, a full licence key will be emailed to you. Enter this key into the licence details window in the same way described above for the trial licence key to fully licence the SDK. This process need only be performed once.

Licensing is per-seat - the licence key should be used to licence the SDK on only one PC. Advanced edition licensing is more flexible - contact Blueberry to discuss.

What about the different editions of the SDK?

There are three different editions of the SDK: Basic, Professional and Advanced. The Basic and Professional editions have limits on the classes they can use.

The free trial licence key enables all features of the SDK, with no restrictions on the classes you can use.

When you purchase a licence, you will need to select a specific edition, since each edition is priced differently. For more information on the difference between editions, see Features of the Basic Edition, Features of the Professional Edition and Features of the Advanced Edition.
