Known Issues With Applications That Use The SDK

The FBPlayer class does not support and cannot run on Windows NT4.

When a movie is recorded with a soundtrack, and MP3 compression is not used, and it is then exported to WMV or Flash, the last few seconds of audio is lost. If this causes problems this can be worked around by adding blank audio to the end of the movie to compensate for sound lost upon export.

SWF format files created by FlashBack SDK do not support editing by third party Flash editors. The HTML file through which the SWF movie plays is however fully editable in all HTML editing tools.

Currently, AVI exports produced by FlashBack do not officially support conversion to playable DVD format in a third party DVD editing program. This is being investigated by Blueberry and may be improved in a future release. We encourage users to experiment with the process of making playable DVDs with FlashBack AVI files and report successes and limitations to us.

When recording on PCs that have dual video cards, some text and graphics may be missing from the final movie. The solution to this is to use the DirectX or GDI recording mode instead of the Capture Driver.

Recording is not supported in Windows 256 colour mode.

Exporting to AVI using the DivX v6 codec produces an error. Other DivX codecs can be used successfully.

Some movie/video player applications (e.g VLC player, DivX player) experience problems playing back AVI files exported using the Microsoft Video 1 codec. Use Windows Media Player to play them back correctly.
